What is meant by bible?

The word Bible is derived from the Latin word Biblia or Byblos which means Books because The Holy Bible contains so many books in it. In the beginning of writing of the bible, writers’ used papyrus scrolls to write on it. This is true because proofs are there in the The Holy Bible. The following verses are the evidence

Luke 4:20: - Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down.

Hebrews 10:7: -Then I said, Here I am-it is written about me in the scroll-I have come to do your will, my Lord.

Jeremiah 36:2: - Take a scroll and write on it all words I have spoken to you concerning Israel, Judah and all the other nations from the time I began speaking to you in the reign of Josiah till now.

 Five Historical evidences that proved that the bible is really true:

 1. Pilate Inscription: -

In 1916, Archaeologist found a stone slate while their survey of historical sites and excavation. There was a sentence carved on the stone slate. It is “Pontius Pilatus Prefect of Judea” means fifth governor of Judea was Pilate (Latin: - Pontius Pilatus).

John 18:29: - Pilate then went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?”.

It was clearly mentioned in The Holy Bible that Pilate was a governor of Judea.

 2.Hezekiah’s tunnel: -

Hezekiah’s tunnel is also known as Siloam tunnel. Hezekiah had created this water tunnel. Edward Robinson who was an American orientalist rediscovered Hezekiah’s tunnel in 1837.

In 2 Chronicles 32:30: - This same Hezekiah also stopped the water outlet of upper Gihon, and brought the water by tunnel to the west side of the city of David.

It is really a true discovery.

 3.Taylor Prism: -

In 1830, Robert Taylor who was a scientist had found fifteen clay cylinders or fifteen prism shaped clay materials. It has five-hundred lines of written text on its prism. Scientists said that the king Sennacherib of Assyria wrote this text on the prism. He ruled the Assyria kingdom from 720 B.C to 683 B.C. During his reign, the king Sennacherib wanted to occupy the Strong forts, cities, and villages of Judea and he blasphemed against the god and the Hezekiah who was the king of Judea. So, he sent a letter. The words in the letter and the words in this clay prism are similar.  It is clear in the bible.

2 Chronicles 32:1: - Sennacherib king of Assyria came and entered Judah; he encamped against the fortified cities.

 4.David Inscription: -

 So many people believe that the king David’s character is not real in the Bible. But so many scientists proved that the king David’s character is real in the Bible. They proved through so many historical constructions and evidences. This is also evidence. In 1993, a scientist called Abraham Biran found David’s Inscription from the house of David. In that Inscription they found a verse from the bible. It was 1 Kings 12:19.

1 Kings 12:19: - So Israel has been in rebellion against the house of David to this day.

This inscription proved that the Bible is true.

 5.Cyrus Cylinder: -

In 1879, Hormuzd Rassam found a cylinder of nine inches. Now this is in the British museum. The words on it are about the Cyrus II of Persia (Cyrus the great). He was an emperor of Median empire, Lydian empire and Neo-Babylonian empire from 559 to 530 B.C.  The words in the bible and the written text on this cylinder are same. In the Bible

Ezra 1:2: - All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And he has commanded me to build him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.
